They are now open and I came all the way from Manhattan to try the food and omgggggggggggg! For a few minutes I felt like I was in Dominican Republic eating my grandma's food.
The restaurant itself is small but very vibrant and very reminiscent of what a kitchen/ dining area will look like. The hospitality is great, this is a family owned business and after we finished our delicious meals, the mom even made us coffee.

While it took a while to be seated (place was packed around 2pm), the servers were amazing. Our server was one of the owners, I didn't catch his name, but he was so passionate about the food and making sure we had a good experience. We ordered a ton of sides to try them all. Maduros were perfect, and the arepitas and the yucca fries were so tasty. The prices are so reasonable and the food tasted like what you'd get in DR in someones house. Just left with my to go order since it was really busy. The decor is beautiful and it has such a great vibe. The guy by the register suggested we get the monfongo with our chimi sliders and omg they're both soooooo gooddd!!! me and my sister still have a slider and a lot of monfongo left. lol
Their outside porch is the cutest and great for waiting. I would suggest maybe a bench or some individual chairs outside. It was about 3pm when we got there and was told this is around the best time to come because it gets even busier (probably a 40min wait for a table). Cant wait to come back and try some more things off the menu. BTW their Chinola is bangin !!! read less

Hands down to the creator of this place , the concept is absolutely beautiful! yes, it is a small place but, if you love food, this place has everything you need to be happy ! Found this place on Instagram and decided to go in , their gandules con coco are absolutely amazing ! The pernil was super delicious !

Brings me back to my country Dominican Republic, from their decoration to where they serve the food ( traditional pots) and to the little box in which they bring you receipt ( is a box where people in DR go around shining shoes and have people put their feet on top of the box while having their supplies inside. )
The five star goes to the food but they need to improve of their service for sure. A little to slow for a tiny space restaurant where I feel like you need to be fast to bring in for revenue.
Over all will be back.
We had the mofonguitos : cups of fried plantains topped with ground beef. Delicious!!
And for entrees: white rice, red beans , Chicharron de pollo and pollo quisado!

Let's just say we were running late for breakfast and traditionally in the Dominican republic we usually eat mangu before noon... he saved 2 warm orders for us even after it was all GONE ! We bought our own champagne for passion fruit mimosas which were to die for. Sit down, take out, order delivery, the humble atmosphere and family oriented ambiance will take you back to DR and make you forget you are in NY. Great job! read less

Drove down from New Rochelle earlier today ordered the pollo guisado and black bean rice food was delicious!! I ordered 2 more orders to go so my friends can try.
